New Baby Blues – How to Cope With the Baby Blues

Baby blues are an all too common experience for many expecting mothers. The emotional mix of being a new mother, the hormonal fluctuations, and the stress of new responsibilities can really throw you out of whack. You may feel some of these:

 

Feeling of sadness: Immediately after you have given birth, you may feel like you just cannot relate anymore to the child. You may feel the loss of your baby as though it's suddenly ended your connection with that child. This, too, is normal.

 

Fear of failure: Taking on new responsibilities is difficult, but it's even worse to have baby blues. Your child will not be around forever, so you worry about what you are going to do with your life. And since the newborn is only a few months old, you perfectly understand how small your baby really is. You want to give your newborn baby the very best, but you know you can't.

 

It can sometimes seem impossible to live with a childish blues. But the more you try, the stronger your determination becomes. You want your child to love you as much as you love him or her. You want your child to have everything they could ever dream of. You want your child to be loved, cherished, and hugged.

 

So what can you do with kids blues? You can find support groups where moms can meet to share their experiences and learn from each other. You can also find support groups at your church or community center.

 

But if you want to take the kids' blues into your own hands, there are things you can do to ease the pain and confusion. When you feel like you are getting depressed, ask yourself questions such as, "What was my role in childbirth?" Have I done anything that made me feel miserable? What could I have done differently?

 

Having a positive outlook on life and having a baby can help you deal with grief. and loss with a sense of hope.

 

Remember to mark every new milestone, no matter how large or small. and know that you are in a new life with a beautiful little bundle of joy

Give each of you a "thank you" card with something of value, such as a gift certificate to a baby boutique or restaurant, or an item for yourself from someone you know. When you get a newborn, you should always remember your baby. That's the time for you and your baby to bond together.

 

You may want to buy the mom-to-be a nice bottle of perfume or Cologne so that she can wear it when she needs to feel more attractive to her husband and friends. After a newborn is born, all babies need something to smell good, including your new bundle of joy. . Smelling good and feeling great can be contagious.

 

Remember to take care of your baby. If you notice a bruise, take him or her to the doctor right away. Even a small bruise can become a bigger one. If your child has a diaper rash, it is best to keep it covered up, and do not let it get worse.

 

Good sleep is important, and you should ensure that your child is well-nourished and sleeps soundly throughout the day. Get plenty of sleep and exercise.

 

Take some time for yourself and make yourself feel better by doing things you enjoy. Take a walk with your husband, or go to the store or a movie with your friends. Just knowing that you have your baby around gives you a feeling of peace.
